Within a conservative definition of design, I would be expected to put on the mask of my client and say what he or she told me to say. In essence, I would live as a ventriloquist’s dummy. I cannot imagine ever accepting that as a way of life. By formulating our practice the way we have, we find in our water glass an ocean of possibility.
